Join us live on Zoom for an interactive program with Project Learning Tree, an initiative of the Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI), featuring the unique ways that water helps move plant seeds. Only 50 spots are available.

Nova Scotia Events

Join us in Eastern Passage, Nova Scotia for a beach cleanup with Scotian Shores to celebrate both the Trees & Seas Festival, as well as Eastern Passage Days. We will be there cleaning up the beach and talking about the importance of a circular economy.

Join us for an afternoon walk through Point Pleasant Park with local plant biologist Nick Curran to celebrate Plastic Oceans’ first annual Trees & Seas festival! Nick will teach us all about our local plant species, as well as the impact of invasive species, including litter! As we walk and learn, we will beautify our forests by cleaning up any trash we see.

Join us to plant trees in the beautiful Cole Harbour Heritage Park of Nova Scotia in celebration of our first Trees & Seas Festival! It’s the perfect opportunity to combine ocean and forest conservation.

Coastal Action will be leading a shoreline cleanup in Mahone Bay followed by $5 pints at local brewery, Saltbox, and food from local Ocean Friendly Nova Scotia businesses!

British Columbia Events

Explore the shore with SeaSmart! Sea Smart educators will be leading a tow-tide beach walk to explore the superstar creatures of the Pacific Northwest intertidal zone.

Ocean Wise’s Youth2Sea are hosting One Planet, One Ecosystem: Coastal Foods and Security along with the Renfrew-Collingwood Food Justice Centre in celebration of our Trees & Seas Festival, During this event, you will garden, learn about food justice in the lens of climate change, and speak about Indigenous plants. This event is best suited for those aged 15-17 years old.
